VOW RENEWAL
The event can be as big or small as you wish; some ceremonies are just the couple and the Celebrant! As with other Celebrant led events there are no strict rules, you can hold this event anywhere and make it personal and meaningful for you and your spouse.
Vow Renewal, an opportunity for a couple to renew the vows that they made to each other when they first got married. It is not meant as a second wedding but more a way to commemorate a love that has deepened and matured between a couple.
There are many reasons for a couple to renew their vows. You may not have had the means to have the ceremony you wanted in the past or other life events have led you to want to celebrate your union with your family and friends. Some couples use a milestone anniversary, 20, 25, 30 years etc of marriage to renew their vows.
During a vow renewal ceremony, vows are exchanged and it is an opportunity for the couple to reflect on their relationship and be grateful for everything they’ve accomplished together up to this point. The couple can choose to exchange the same vows, or they can prepare new vows.
